Denise was born and raised in Pearl City, HI and graduated from Iolani School. She then attended Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York where she received her Bachelors degree from the School of Management. She came home to work at Title Guaranty Escrow for 2 years and then ended up working at Waipahu High School and Aiea High School as a career counselor for 7 years.
Upon leaving the DOE system, Denise worked for Hawaiian Airlines and at the same time received her Private Pilot’s license to fly single engine planes from George’s Aviation down on Lagoon Drive. It was during this time that Denise also received her real estate license in 2002 and started working for STF Properties, LLC on a select team of agents assigned to the HUD (Housing and Urban Development) foreclosures. Denise has been working full time in real estate since then and finds satisfaction and pleasure in helping her clients with all of their real estate needs. She has been recognized for her outstanding work in the real estate community by being nominated for an Aloha Aina Award for 3 years in a row from 2006 to 2008.
Community involvement is also very important to Denise and she volunteers with the Hawaii USA Federal Credit Union. As a member of the golf tournament committee, the goal of the tournament is to raise money for teacher stipends that will help with their continuing education.
Denise is looking forward towards next year when she will serve as Secretary for the Hawaii Chapter of CRS (Certified Residential Specialists). Fewer than 4% of all realtors nationwide achieve a CRS designation which is the highest professional designation awarded to Realtors® in the residential sales field. CRS is also very involved in the community, assisting in the PBS fundraisers, donating school supplies to Operation Homefront and hosting a concert fundraiser for the Shriners Hospital.
